About Italian Networking Workshop

This edition of the workshop is dedicated to the memory of Maurizio Munafò

We are excited to announce that the 22^nd edition of the Italian Networking Workshop (INW) will be held in Bardonecchia, Piedmont, from January 12 to 14, 2026. Jointly organized by Politecnico di Torino and Università di Torino, this annual event carries forward its tradition of promoting collaboration, idea exchange, and innovation within the networking research community.

The Italian Networking Workshop is a premier event designed to:

Showcase cutting-edge research in telecommunications and networking, providing immediate feedback in an informal yet rigorous setting.
Facilitate meaningful interactions among PhD students, early-career researchers, and established academics, promoting discussions and collaborations.
Encourage joint efforts in the development of project proposals and research initiatives.
Offer a unique experience by combining academic sessions with the opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty and winter sports of Bardonecchia.

Please note that the workshop maintains an informal atmosphere; contributions are not published or copyrighted, allowing participants to present ongoing work and receive constructive feedback.

Workshop Venue

The technical meetings of INW 2026 will be held at the Palazzo delle Feste, a venue in Bardonecchia specifically dedicated to conferences and cultural events. We gratefully acknowledge the Municipality of Bardonecchia for its support and sponsorship, which has made this venue available for the workshop.

Keynotes

We are delighted to announce the keynote speakers for INW 2026! This year’s program features distinguished voices from both industry and academia. From the industrial perspective, keynotes will be delivered by Valeria Baiamonte (VodafoneThree), Marina Geymonat (Leonardo Laboratories), and Mario Baldi (NVIDIA), offering insights into current trends and challenges in the telecom and networking sectors. From the academic world, Antonio Capone (Politecnico di Milano) and Nicola Blefari Melazzi (University of Roma Tor Vergata) will share their visions on the future of telecommunications research in Italy. These talks promise to enrich the workshop with diverse viewpoints and stimulate lively discussion among participants.
